Whether you call it Ball in Seat, Stud Pilot, or Budd wheels – they all mean the same thing, that the weight of your vehicle is being carried by the studs rather than by the hub. The Stud Piloted wheels aren’t the normal anymore, but before the year 2000 they were the standard for class 7 and 8 vehicles.
This 22.5″ x 9.00″ wheel is the only studd piloted 9″ wheel made in America. With the wider stance you’d also get the 1,750 pound increase in Load Carrying Capacity. It’s made of 6061 Aluminum, so you know it’s lightweight, built to be tough, and comes with Accuride’s standard polish on both sides.
