The Sumitomo ST909 is a premium regional drive tire engineered for fleets and operators who demand excellent traction, durability, and retreadability in demanding mixed-service applications. Featuring Sumitomo’s advanced S-Tech tread design, deep shoulder blocks, and an extra-wide tread face, the ST909 delivers superior traction, improved vehicle stability, and long, even tread wear.
Its durable casing construction and M speed rating (81 mph) make it well-suited for regional haul, vocational, and mixed-service truck applications where dependable traction and toughness are required. While the ST909 can be used in multiple service environments, it performs best in regional and on/off-road applications rather than trucks dedicated primarily to long-haul interstate highway driving.
The ST909 is also an excellent option for medium-duty truck conversions upgrading from 19.5” wheels to 22.5” wheel and tire packages. It is a popular fitment for Ford F-450 / Ford F-550, Ram 4500 / Ram 5500, and GMC TopKick conversions where improved traction, durability, and aggressive commercial truck styling are desired.
